Our capital city was hosting a marathon athletic race in which active participants were over 1500 sportsman and amateurs from our country and internationally, on the 10th of May 2009.

Skopje MARATHON for the first time this year entered the world Association of Marathon Races, due to the verification of the marathon path on the streets of Skopje, by the Association of International Marathon and Distance Races and the International Association of Athletic Federation.
