Haci Bektash Veli lived in the 13th century, but he became a legendary person in almost eight hundred years after his death. Haci Bektash Veli had influenced a large mass of people and made them follow him and his discipline. He had a special place in the hearts of many people. He was a servant of love. He had absorbed the life norms of Islam at the spiritual den of a great mystic Ahmed Yesevi.
Bektashi people had gain power during the Ottoman period and established close contacts with Christians, Jews and other non-Muslim Communities. Naturally their primary aim was to convert them to Islam. Therefore, they helped them understand Islam through a sufistic perception including mystic themes rather than a symbolic faith. Real Sufi respects every human being regardless of his or her religion, accepts everyone as a dear brother, does not reject any religion and does not condemn any holy book or any religious doctrine.
