The record number of 6000 participants took part from 47 different countries in the biggest sports party in town,Wizz Air Skopje Marathon 2014under organization of Sport Union

In the main marathon race in men and women category, Kenyan set the new record for Skopje Marathon. New record for men was set by athlete Emmanuel Samal with a time of 2:14:24, and in women's category Lucy Vambui Murigi set the new record by achieving a time of 2:37:45

Wilson Kipsang, the current world record holder in the marathon with a time of 2:03:23 set at the Berlin Marathon in 2013, was a guest and promoter of this year's Wizz Air Skopje Marathon.
